CONTOH SOAL RELATIVE PRONOUN part 2

Well, coming for the second part, we will discuss about Splitting the material into a sentence units (MC and SC), reduce the following series of non defining relatives to an acceptable spoken form of narrative.

Atau lebih jelasnya adalah bagaimana memisah sebuah kalimat yang ada unsur (relative pronoun) menjadi kalimat terpisah.. 

contohnya sebagai berikut :

 1. The prime minister of Japan , to whom I introduce you last week , is extremely fond of his national drink.

Dari kalimat tersebut maka kita bisa menentukan mana yang diposisikan sebagai main clause dan sub clause kalimat.

Mari kita amati bahwa relative pronoun pada kalimat tersebut adalah "WHOM" yang berarti bahwa relative pronoun tersebut menggantikan obyek pronoun manusia. "Whom" disini mengacu pada kata The prime ministe of japan. sehingga jika dipisah akan berada pada posisi sub clause.

Main  clause : The prime minister of Japan is extremely fond of his national.
Sub clause    :  I introduce you to him last week.

3. in addition, commodities which are easy to transport, safe to handle and simple to grade are generally in universal demand.

4. Commodities like these can be bought and sold and stored without difficulty by people who live at great distances from each other and from the sources of supply.

5. finally, it is interesting to note that many buyers and sellers on important market never see the commodities which they buy and sell.

C. ADVANCE LEVEL
